#215 - "Smoke Screen"

Well, I think everyone's seen the comic by now, so everyone knows the comic is up. So why am I posting?Because I was supposed to do this right after I uploaded the comic. But I didn't.

How daft am I?

Well I'm not *that* daft. I'm not

Carnivores #214 - "V.I.P."

OK, new strip is up. Here is some interesting trivia.

  • Kevin Depper's middle name is Adam. He lives on Monroe Street on Minneapolis, according to his ID card seen above his V.I.P. card.
  • Apparently, the mayor can get more than one in with his V.I.P. card...or is there something else brewing?
  • The phrase "Please attend carefully" was taken from the Doctor Who serial "The Sound of Drums, in which the Master (John Simm) successfully takes control of Planet Earth. The phrase was used as a hint that the Master could see through the Doctor's (David Tennant) perception filter, which were just TARDIS keys with a piece of the TARDIS soldered on them.
  • The word "Bud" is a slang term for marijuana. Expect more marijuana puns in future comics.

#211 - The Phone book

The new comic is up :) Here's how I came up with the idea:

I saw Kurt Angle beating Eric Young with a phone book last week on iMPACT! and Eric returned the favor this week.

Friday, I saw a spot for "Reaper", and the interrogation guy is like "You better leave or I will beat you over the head with a phone book!"

You can see this episode on Tuesday on the CW network.

Tuesday, November 06, 2007

I need to update more.

OK, 209 and 210 are up, but there will be no Carnivores this week, cuz i got distracted with a local convention. :) Had a blast tho.

#207 - "MILFord"

I scanned this last week, but due to scanner problems, the comic was delayed. It's up now.

Now we know the mayor's last name is Milford. She *does* look like a MILF tho...

Scanner go kabewm

Today was the day my Mustek scanner finally died. I had it for a long time. it was a very old model. I think i got it in 1999 or 2000. but it was IN THE MIDDLE of scanning my Carnivores comic. And it died. So, I'm gonna throw the thing out, bring up the Lexmark, and try again next week. Yes, that's right. No Carnivores til Saturday lol

#206 - "Sanctuary"

Today we find out that even from a grenade attack from the macros, the mayor survived.

Oh, just in case you don't know, MILF stands for "Mother I'd Like (to) F***"

#205 - "At The Workplace"

Yes, he works at Macro-Soft industries. He helps create macro versions of the stuff we use everyday. The name of the company comes from its founder, dead since 2005, Edward H. Soften, whose best friend's company went bellyup after a scandal involving Quaaludes, the Manoogian mansion and the Chinese. Don't ask. He asked if micros could create macro stuff. The result? A Macro-sized manual can opener.

Macro-Soft was born.

Carnivores #203 - "Damn!"

Here is #203! Looks like the macros have a lot on their hands (or do they?)

Carnivores #202 - "Yes, We Went There"

"We Went There" as in I went and made fun of the I-35W Bridge Collapse.
A lot of folks probably know this already, but the reason why I chose the bus, was because it was the only bus on the bridge amidst the plethora of cars when the bridge collapsed. Everyone on board that bus was OK.

How well did I draw the bridge? ;)

I wonder how Minneapolans are getting around this mess... It's kinda like "Dodge The Lodge", but only in Minnesota...

Enjoy the comic....For some strange reason, my drawing hand was shaking, like i was freezing (but i wasn't) or nervous about something, i dont know. I didn't think I'd get the comic done and looking OK to my standards.....

Anyway, enough rambling. I'm gonna go and do stuff.....question is, what to do?

No Carnivores this week

Due to the Dream Cruise on Saturday and me spending the night at a friend's house that same day, Carnivores will not be updated this week. Check back next week.

Monday, August 13, 2007

Finally, after fixing some FTP issues, the Carnivores comic is now starting its 12th arc, "Macro and Micro"! As you can tell, the arc takes place in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.

Carnivores cancelled this week

Yea, I said it would return this month, but due to an unexspected bout with the flu, i have to cancel for this week.

Hopefully I'll be well enough to start Arc XII next week.

See ya then.

Saturday, July 14, 2007

On hiatus

I will be on hiatus until August. That is when Arc XII will start. Arc 13 has been changed to "Sketches" since i littered my sketchbook with comic sketches during my trip back from Pittsburgh.

Arc 12 will be "Macro and Micro", and may be a short arc, about 4 or 5 strips.

See you in August.

2 new Carnivores comics up, and a lot more to come

#200 will be the last comic in the arc, and I will get them all up by the time AC rolls around.

Yes, i drew #194-200 in one day! Amazing, aint I?

About time... Carnivores #192 - "It's 'Blisterclaw'"

2 weeks of running around, getting things all i need to focus on is getting money for AC. I got Bus fare and registration down, but i need money to pay for my share of the room.

Jeez, why am i posting this in the Carnivores weblog? The comic's up! Go look!

#190 - The Warden Steps In

We introduce Warden Punkerty to the world :) Next week, we'll reveal the truth behind the bear that is Maul....we hope ;)

#189 - "A Grizzly Nightmare"

Get it? Grizzly? "Grisly"?
Heh. Anyway, there's the new strip.
By the way, "Scheiß" means "shit" in German.

Sorry for the quality of the comic, I drew it rather quickly.

Carnivores #188 - "Realization"

Maul has finally finished eating poor Kendrick piece by piece....and he's got the belly to prove it!
However he realizes he forgot the other piece of the puzzle.....Brian! Where did he run off to?

Find out next week!

Coming Soon....Carnivores #188

Sorry about the delay. I got the strip drawn in 18 minutes, yet I needed to draw another thing for Fchan, which took up most of the night. So when I get home today, I'll scan it, touch it up, and upload it. :)

Carnivores #187 - "Have A Heart" "The Penal Code For Murder"

The reason why I crossed out "Have a Heart" was because that was the title of Carnivores #128.
The penal code for homicide/murder is 187, and the bear has Kendrick's heart in his hand in the final panel, meaning he pretty much killed that poor S.O.B.

Is it possible at all in real life to strip someone of all flesh, and keep them alive?

Carnivores #186 - "Mauling 101"

Ok.... finally it's up.
I tried to get it up on Friday, but for some odd reason, the entire site was down...

Tuesday, April 03, 2007

Even tho I have the strip drawn....

...there will be no Carnivores this week.

Our house is going to get new carpeting, new paint...i dont know what else. They said it may last a few weeks, so me and my roomies packed up our stuff and we moved to an apartment at Rue Versailles.

We didn't take everything mind you.....thought i took my compy and scanner and hopefully when i have some free time to kill I'll scan the image and I'll have it for you Saturday.

BTW, Wrestlemania 23 was a BLAST!

Carnivores #185 - "Bad Choice"

All apologies for the late post...but it is up. Be sure to tune in next week, when Kendrick gets the mauling of a lifetime....i wonder how i'm gonna fit it in 6 panels tho.........

Wednesday, March 21, 2007

I apologize.

I really wasnt in a good mood last week when i decided to cancel Carnivores for last week....I was working on a backup computer that took all my time away, and by the time i remembered to do it, it was already night time on sunday and i was too tired to do anything.

Tomorrow's Thursday, and I hope to start working on the strip then.

Wish me luck.

Carnivores #184 - "Say Hello"

((sorry for the tardiness of this post; I had a lot happen over the week. I'll post in my personal blog on Friday.))

Yet another strip i had to draw with a was very difficult to draw Kendrick from a high perpsective, and it wasn't until AFTER i was editing the strip in Paint Shop Pro when i realized Kendrick's "fluff" wasn't pointing upward, since he jumped from that tree branch and now is falling, firing off his guns.

All that's fixed now. :)

And yes, I don't need to tell you where that Say Hello quote came's one of the most memorable quotes in movie history.

No Carnivores this week

I lost my high speed internet, and I was sick on Friday, so I couldn't get carnivores comic drawn. I don't feel like doing it at all this week so check back next week or so. OK?

Sorry guys.

#183 - Back to Business

Sorry for the comic being so late, I was hooked on 2 MMORPGs, and and only managed to get the first panel done. Sunday I finshed the comic and published it. I hope it looks ok :)

My internet was acting real wonky this morning....It's probably because of the ice storm we had last night.

#182 - "Innuendo"

I enjoyed this one. Sorry for it being a bit late, but I've got other worries on my mind right now.... :P

Sunday, February 11, 2007

#181 - Shreds of Clothing

Another instance where I had to use a pencil to draw...
I suck at perspectives. So in Panel 3, I had to draw Maul at a 90° angle. (Brian [the fox] I could draw just fine, considering it was a back shot)

It took a few tries, but i think I got it down. What do you think?

Sunday, February 04, 2007

#180 - "Bear Trap"

OK the new strip is up. And BTW you can add this as an RSS Feed so you don't have to rely on any messageboards... :)

Sunday, January 28, 2007

Wow! I did a lot tonight!

Not only I updated the comic, I made over the site! What do you think?

Saturday, January 20, 2007

I had to use a PENCIL! *gasp*

Yea, I used the yellow book as a reference to draw a sitting bear. It turned out really REALLY good.

I should have done this on a Friday, but you know

At least I GET them done :)

Tuesday, January 16, 2007

#177 now up.

Sorry its a bit late. I forgot what I was doing that got me so occupied on Saturday....

Saturday, January 06, 2007

And the Arc begins!

I still suck at drawing, but i gotta agree with my fans, i do know how to tell a good story.
I tried a different approach to captioning this thing and i think it came out rather well.

Oh BTW, Brian is the Red fox, Kendrick is the gray.

Made my YouTube debut. Clicky.
